Scholarships at Edinburgh Napier University

Students who are from a Brazil and who are self-funding their course are eligible for a £4,000 scholarship for entry onto a full-time programme in September 2025 or January 2026.

Eligibility

In order to be eligible for this award, you must: 

Students who are from a Colombia and who are self-funding their course are eligible for a £4,000 scholarship for entry onto a full-time programme in September 2025 or January 2026.

Eligibility

In order to be eligible for this award, you must: 

• be living in Colombia at the time of application.

• be self-funding your course.

• be holding an unconditional offer to study a taught masters course in September 2025 or January 2026.

• have made your £6000 deposit payment toward your fees.

If you have discounted tuition fees from a partner university, you are not eligible for this scholarship.

MRes programmes and the following Masters degrees are not eligible for this award: MBA (Business Leadership and Practice), MBA (Strategic Project Management), MSc Global Hospitality Management (extended), MSc Computing with Professional Placement, MSc Pharmaceutical & Analytical Science.

We have a partial scholarship of £10,000 available for one self-funding student domiciled in Nigeria, starting a master’s course at Edinburgh Napier in September 2025. 

This scholarship scheme is part of the GREAT Scholarships campaign, which has been launched by the British Council together with 36 UK universities to support more students across Asia, Europe & Middle East to access excellent UK higher education opportunities.

Eligibility

To be eligible for this award, you must be:

• domiciled in Nigeria at the time of application.

• self-funding your course.

• meet the entry criteria for your chosen Masters course in September 2025.

You are not eligible if:

• you are applying for a course lasting longer than 12 months.

• you have discounted tuition fees from a partner university or are in receipt of another scholarship.

The deadline for applications will be 5pm on Friday the 9 May 2025.

The University has partial scholarships for self-funding international students studying in June 2025.

About the scholarship

We have partial scholarships available for self-funded international applicants starting a course at Edinburgh Napier in June 2025. 

A scholarship of £2,000 (GBP) is available for applicants with offers for: 

• MSc Business Management

• MSc International Business Management 

• MSc International Human Resource Management 

A scholarship of £3,000 (GBP) is available for applicants with offers for: 

• MSc Computing

• MSc Construction Project Management 

Eligibility

To be eligible for this award, you must be:

• Self-funding your course.

• An international student for fee purposes.

• Meet the entry criteria for one of the five Masters courses listed above in June 2025.

You are not eligible if:

• You have discounted tuition fees from a partner university or are in receipt of another scholarship.

The University has partial scholarships for self-funding students from Latin America. Students who are from Latin America and who are self-funding their course are eligible for a £4,000 scholarship for entry onto a full-time programme in September 2025.

The University has partial scholarships for self-funding students from Middle East and North Africa. We have a limited number of partial scholarships worth £2,000 (GBP), available for self-funding students domiciled in Middle East and North Africa (see country eligibility below) starting a course at Edinburgh Napier in September 2025 and January 2026. The scholarship is tenable for one academic year.

Eligibility

To be eligible for this award, you must be:

• domiciled in one of the following countries: Algeria, Bahrain, Egypt, Iran, Jordan, Kuwait, Morocco, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia or United Arab Emirates at the time of application. If you are applying from another country in this region, please contact us directly to discuss eligibility. 

• self-funding your course.

• meet the entry criteria for a Bachelors or eligible taught Masters course in September 2025 or January 2026.

The scholarships are awarded based on academic merit, and are worth £2,000 (GBP).

They are available for self-funding students domiciled in Pakistan starting a course at Edinburgh Napier in September 2025 or January 2026. The scholarship is tenable for one academic year.

Eligibility

In order to be eligible for this award, you must be: 

• living in Pakistan at the time of application.

• self-funding your course.

• holding an offer to study a bachelor or eligible taught Masters course in September 2025 or January 2026. 

For bachelor courses, you must also achieve the following academic requirements: 

• 60% or above in the Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSC) or cumulative grade point average (CGPA) for top up students.

For Masters courses, you must also achieve the following academic requirements in your most recent masters or Bachelors course:

• Taught Masters or Bachelor degree at 60% or GPA 2.4/4.0 or above.

The University has partial scholarships for self-funding students from India, Bangladesh, Nepal or Sri Lanka. We have a limited number of scholarships for self-funding students from South Asia starting a course at Edinburgh Napier in September 2025 and January 2026. The scholarship is tenable for one academic year. 

Eligibility

To be eligible for this award, you must be: 

The University has partial scholarships for self-funding postgraduate students from South East Asia. Students who are from any of the below eligible countries and who are self-funding their course are eligible for a merit-based Postgraduate Scholarship of £2,000 (GBP) for entry onto a full-time Masters course in September 2025. 

Eligibility

In order to be eligible for this award, you must be:

• domiciled in one of the following countries; Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, Myanmar, Cambodia, Laos, Brunei and Philippines.

• be self-funding your course.

• holding an offer to study a full-time Masters course in September 2025.

The University has partial scholarships for self-funding undergraduate students from South East Asia. 

Students who are from any of the below eligible countries and who are self-funding their course are eligible for a merit-based Undergraduate Scholarship of £3,000 (GBP) for entry onto a full-time undergraduate in September 2025.

Please note that students entering into Year 4 of their undergraduate degree are only eligible for a scholarship worth £2000 (GBP).

• domiciled in one of the following countries; Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, Myanmar, Cambodia, Laos, Brunei and Philippines.

• be self-funding your course.

• holding an offer to study a full-time bachelors course in September 2025.

The University has partial scholarships for self-funding students from Sub-Saharan Africa. We have a limited number of partial scholarships worth £2,000 (GBP), available for self-funding students domiciled in Sub-Saharan Africa (see country eligibility below) starting a course at Edinburgh Napier in September 2025 and January 2026. The scholarship is tenable for one academic year.

Eligibility

To be eligible for this award, you must be:

• domiciled at the time of application in Sub-Saharan Africa, excluding Benin, Cameroon, Cote d’Ivoire, Ghana, Nigeria, Senegal and Togo.

• self-funding your course.

• meet the entry criteria for a Bachelors or eligible taught Masters course in September 2025 and January 2026.

The University has partial scholarships for self-funding students from Turkey. Self-funding students from Turkey are eligible for a £4,000 scholarship for entry onto a full-time programme in September 2025 or January 2026.  

Eligibility

To be eligible for this award, you must be:

• domiciled in Turkey at the time of application.

• self-funding your course.

• meet the entry criteria for your chosen taught Masters course in September 2025 or January 2026.

You are not eligible if:

• you are applying for a course lasting longer than 12 months.

• you have discounted tuition fees from a partner university.

• you are studying a two-year MSc/MBA course or an MRes programme.

The University has partial scholarships for self-funding students from West Africa. 

We have a limited number of partial scholarships worth between £1,000 and £2,000 (GBP), available for self-funding students domiciled in West Africa (see countries below). 

For postgraduate students, the scholarship is tenable for one academic year.

For undergraduate students, the scholarship amount is available for each year of undergraduate study. This is subject to successful progression to each academic year, up to a maximum of £8,000 (GBP).

Eligibility

To be eligible for this award, you must be:

• domiciled in Benin, Cameroon, Cote d’Ivoire, Ghana, Nigeria, Senegal and Togo at the time of application. If you are applying from another country in this region, please refer to our Sub-Saharan Africa Scholarship.

• self-funding your course.

• meet the entry criteria for a bachelors or taught masters course in September 2025 and January 2026.

• successfully progressing to each year of study to claim the award as an undergraduate student (up-to a maximum award of £8,000).
