Scholarships at Leeds University Business School

Value: 10%, 25% and 50% fee reduction scholarships are available for international students commencing studies in 2025.

Who is eligible: Particularly deserving international applicants (including EU) to Business Masters programmes for 2025 entry.

The deadline is Friday 16 May 5pm UK time.

Value: An award of 50% tuition fee reduction.

Eligibility criteria 

Scholarships will be awards to applicants who: 

• Are classified as an International student for tuition fee purposes.

• Have applied for a place on a 2025 entry Undergraduate programme included in the eligible courses section 

• Demonstrate sustained academic excellence.  

• Demonstrate the potential to contribute to the social and cultural diversity of our Undergraduate programmes and student community in the UCAS personal statement. 

Value: £10,000 to support maintenance, paid in instalments.

Who is eligible: Particularly deserving international applicants (including EU) from low income countries or low income households in under-represented countries applying for a Business School Masters programme* for 2025 entry. See following details for full eligibility criteria.

Scholarships will be awarded to talented and ambitious students who want to make a positive impact on the economy and society, but who face financial barriers. 

To be considered for the bursary you must: 

• be classified as an international student for fee purposes. 

• have applied for an eligible Business Masters programme for 2025/26 before 20th June 2025 and be holding an offer.

• come from a low-income country or from a lower-income household in a country underrepresented at the Business School.

• demonstrate an excellent academic track record, and be predicted to achieve or have achieved a Bachelors degree with a 2:1 (hons) or equivalent. 

• show how your background and life experiences have encouraged you to make an impact on your community.

• demonstrate how Masters study at the Business School will help you achieve your short and long-term career objectives.

• not hold any other scholarship or bursary contributing to the cost of living.

Leeds Masters Scholarships – worth £7,000 – aim to encourage eligible UK fee-paying students from under-represented groups to study a Masters qualification.  

For successful applicants, the Leeds Masters Scholarship can be awarded as a fee waiver or as monthly payments direct to you. These scholarships are funded by a combination of generous alumni donations and University funding.

Eligibility criteria

You can apply for a Leeds Masters Scholarship if you meet all of the main criteria and one of the financial criteria. This does not mean you will automatically get a scholarship, but we will consider your application carefully. 

Main criteria

You must meet all the three main criteria: 

• Start a full-time, part-time or distance learning Masters course (which is not 100% online with the Digital Education Service) at the University of Leeds in September or October 2025. This must lead directly to an MA, MBA, MEd, MMus, MPH, MRes, MSc, LLM or Masters by Research qualification. Please note, students undertaking an integrated Undergraduate and Masters degree are not eligible to apply for a Leeds Masters Scholarship. 

• Be paying postgraduate tuition fees at the UK rate. 

• Not already hold a Masters degree. 

Applications close at 12pm midday (UK time) on Monday 9 June 2025.

Value: 50% tuition fee deduction.

Who is eligible: Students from Chulalongkorn University who have received an offer to study on an eligible programme in 2025/26.

To be considered for this scholarship you must: 

• be a student from Chulalongkorn University.

• hold a conditional or unconditional offer for a 2025/26 Masters degree included in the eligible courses list.  

As well as meeting the conditions for your offer, you will need to demonstrate the following: 

• outstanding academic credentials i.e. likely to be in the top 20% of your class. 

• evidence of achievement explained in your personal statement (for example prizes or awards received, where you were placed in your class). 

• strong academic reference(s). 

• that you bring diversity of background to the class.

Value: Full-fee.

Who is eligible: Students from Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv who have received an offer to study an eligible Masters programme in 2025/26. See below for full eligibility criteria.

To be considered for this scholarship you must: 

• be a student from Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv.

• hold a conditional or unconditional offer for a 2025/26 Masters degree included in the eligible courses list.

As well as meeting the conditions for your offer, you will need to demonstrate the following: 

• outstanding academic credentials i.e. likely to be in the top 20% of your class. 

• evidence of achievement explained in your personal statement (for example prizes or awards received, where you were placed in your class).

• strong academic reference(s). 

• that you bring diversity of background to the class.

Who is eligible

Particularly deserving candidates for the full-time MBA.

Candidates will be assessed by the responses given on their MBA application form and performance at interview with the MBA Programme Director. 

To be considered, candidates must demonstrate a combination of:

• Outstanding career achievements including rapid progression and high levels of leadership responsibility.

• An excellent academic record, demonstrating a desire for knowledge and continued professional development.

• Potential to contribute and add value to the MBA programme, including the ability to bring diverse professional and cultural viewpoints.

• Evidence of supporting communities, strong ethical values, or engaging in sustainable initiatives.

• Potential to contribute to our alumni network and have a positive impact on the school, business and society. 

Value: Full cost of tuition and £10,000 a year towards study costs.

Who is eligible: Forced migrants to the UK who fulfil the scholarship's eligibility criteria.
