About the University of Ulster

The University of Ulster is a multi-campus university which can trace its origins back to 1845. Having spread beyond our Northern Ireland roots to include partnerships with other education providers and campuses in London and Birmingham, we are a truly international university with over 1,000 international students from 90 different countries.

The university offers globally recognised, fully accredited British degrees at bachelor’s and master’s levels, as well as a range of other courses and qualifications. We have an excellent reputation for research, for providing work-based learning, and for the level of recognition granted by professional bodies. Ulster also enjoys one of the highest employment/further study rates in the UK, with 95% of graduates working or undertaking further studies after six months.

The London and Birmingham campuses are run in partnership with QA, an international training and education specialist. This partnership allows Ulster to increase the employability of its students and bring industry expertise to their degrees - QA have been the partner of choice for business, management and IT education and professionally accredited programmes for over twenty years.

All degrees and programmes are geared towards increasing student employability and are designed to prepare them for entering and progressing through the world of work. Students are offered free supplementary courses in skills such as CV writing, interview techniques and communications skills to assist in this.

Campuses

Our purpose-built teaching facilities in London and Birmingham are equipped with the latest technology, practical study aids and an extensive library to assist you in your research.

The locations of our campuses also put you at the heart of the UK’s two biggest business centres – ideal for study trips, work placements and, of course, interviews.

The London campus has recently undergone an extensive refurbishment and offers modern facilities in an historic building, industry experienced teachers and a wide range of student support and activities. The London campus is based in historic Holborn, close to all major transport links and only a few minutes’ walk from all of the many attractions and activities that the capital has to offer, including Covent Garden, Oxford Street, Buckingham Palace and Big Ben. The Birmingham campus also benefits from a fantastic central location close to all amenities and an experienced faculty.

We developed a partnership with QA Business School to deliver degree courses as a branch campus in London and Birmingham that are directly relevant to students’ employability.

In the process we have attracted faculty members with significant up-to-date experience in the business world. We have also established purpose-built teaching facilities that prepare students properly for the professional atmosphere and technological environment they can expect when they commence their careers.
