Clayesmore

Overview

Clayesmore is located in the heart of the beautiful Dorset countryside in Southern England and caters for young people aged 8-13 in our purpose built Prep School, and from 13 to 18 in the Senior School, both of which exist side by side on the one campus.

Facilities are outstanding at both schools and three major new academic buildings have been built in the last ten years underlining our belief in first class teaching. A wide range of subjects is available at both GCSE and at A-level catering for all academic interests – Maths and Sciences, Economics, Psychology and Business Studies as well as Design & Technology, Art and Music, and many more. The school is strong in music and the arts and achieves impressive academic standards amidst a broad ability range. Outstanding teaching, a rich diversity of sporting and cultural opportunities, leadership and adventure activities and an impressive programme of residential trips and foreign travel combine to inspire every pupil to reach their goals in school and in life.

Entry Requirements

The majority of our EAL pupils take an EFL exam each academic year. Through experience we have found that this results in motivation and a sense of achievement for our students, in addition to their being stretched continually. The exams we offer include: Cambridge ESOL,PET, FCE, CAE, CPE,IGCSE ESOL; SATS, IELTS
