University of Brighton Overview

The University of Brighton is a multi-campus university on England’s beautiful south coast in Brighton and Eastbourne. Wherever you’re based you’ll be close to the beach and countryside, and within easy reach of London and Europe. It has a diverse academic community of over 21,000 students, including nearly 3,000 international and EU students from more than 150 countries.

Courses are innovative and globally relevant, informed by the latest research and industry partnerships, and incorporate projects and work placements both in the UK and overseas. Not only do students benefit from continued financial investment in facilities and technology, the teaching has received the highest levels of recommendation too. The learning experience and environment will help students gain a competitive edge in their career.

Almost all degree courses offer work-related learning opportunities, and many offer salaried placements of up to a year. You can build additional experience and skills through project work, volunteering or joining local entrepreneurial and other networks. Over 50 professional bodies accredit Brighton courses and 94.4% of graduates are working, studying or training within six months of completing their course with the University (DLHE survey 2015-16).

University of Brighton Services for International Students

Before and during arrival, a free orientation programme and advice service about visas, accommodation and related issues is available to all international students. Trained advisors provide personalised advice on a range of practical issues such as visas, accommodation, health and finance, and give guidance on day-to-day living in the UK and all international students are allocated a personal tutor and can use the free English language support service whenever an issue they wish to discuss arises.

In addition, all new international students are invited to attend an orientation program to help them adapt to life in the UK. It’s a great way to meet other new students, get to know the university and join in with social events.
