Located in 362 acres of parkland, just three miles from the beautiful and historic city of Norwich, the safe campus boasts award-winning accommodation, the Sainsbury’s Centre for Visual Arts; a state- of-the-art public art gallery and the largest indoor Sports complex of any UK university.

The International Student Advisory Team provides information, support and advice to all international students and their families throughout their time at the University of East Anglia.
A pre-departure guide issued by the accommodation team provides useful and practical details about obtaining a visa, travelling to Norwich and the campus. During arrival week, the Student Advice Team will organise orientation programmes, hold events and also offer the opportunity to apply for a UK buddy through the UEA Friends scheme in an effort to help settle into university life.
There is a programme of social events and trips throughout the year, and all international students are kept up to date with important news and advice through the International Student email list. The Advisory Team maintains close links with organisations such as the Home Office and the British Council to ensure that the concerns and needs of East Anglia's international student community are well represented.
University of East Anglia founded the first creative writing course in the UK and is famed for its cutting edge environmental science research. The 2014 Research Excellence Framework ranked University of East Anglia 10th in the UK for research. 82% was classed as ‘world-leading’ or ‘internationally excellent’, with improvements seen in the areas of the arts, sciences, health and social sciences.
New international students applying within deadlines are guaranteed rooms, and a third of the University of East Anglia’s 3,400 rooms are under three years old. My consultant was very helpful and motivating. She helped me every step of the way, even when the deadline was so close. I feel I could not have done it without her. I'd highly recommend this service to any and all of my many friends interested.
