Kingston is an inclusive and vibrant university, recognised for its excellent teaching, ranks highly in the world’s list of young universities and has several UK-leading courses. Located in the outskirts of London, our diverse student populace enjoy the best of one of the world’s greatest cities. We offer a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses, several of which are rated the best in the country by The Guardian University Guide 2019. View the course list page to see the extensive offerings across our faculties.
Kingston University’s teaching has been recognised as outstanding by winning The Guardian University Award 2017 for teaching excellence. Courses are also brought to life by interactive learning facilities such as the Bloomberg trading room, the flight simulator, an in-built hospital ward and music recording studio.
Kingston University is truly global and cosmopolitan; of nearly 18,000 students in total, 3,000 are international and from more than 140 countries.
We have a dedicated Visa and Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) team and, when you begin your studies here, the Student Life Centre provides key support services on matters such as accommodation, money advice, disability support and student funds. All prospective and current students can access the support on offer.
The International Arrivals and Orientation programme is in place to help you settle in during your first week. The programme offers a free airport pick-up service, organises social events and provides induction sessions to help you get your bearings on campus and around Kingston.
We offer guaranteed first year accommodation for all new Kingston University students.
Kingston University has seven halls of residence, all near the University campuses. University-owned halls of residence consist of single rooms with a kitchen shared between 2-9 students, 70% of which are en-suite.
International students can apply for lodgings in houses around the local area if they are studying for less than one year and the University provides lists of private accommodation for students who wish to live outside halls.
There is a free bus service between the accommodation halls and campuses. Privately run halls of residence near the Penrhyn Road campus are also available.
Kingston University is based in Kingston-upon-Thames, a busy riverside town, just 25 minutes by train to central London. The historic town centre is packed with shops, bars and clubs, with easy access to Gatwick and Heathrow airports. The stunning Richmond Royal Park, Hampton Court Palace and the River Thames are also within walking distance.
The University has five campuses, each with specific subjects associated with it. Kingston Hill, Penrhyn Road, Knights Park, and Roehampton Vale campuses are in or around the Kingston town centre. St George’s medical campus is also in London and within easy reach of Kingston.
My consultant was very helpful and motivating. She helped me every step of the way, even when the deadline was so close. I feel I could not have done it without her. I'd highly recommend this service to any and all of my many friends interested.
