Dublin Institute of Technology (DIT) is a premier technological institute in Ireland with a long history of research and innovation. Located in the city centre of the capital city of Ireland, the institute offers courses in varying fields from science and health to business and law, tourism, hospitality and social sciences.
DIT believes in smaller teaching groups and class sizes, meaning a more focussed learning experience. Industry placements and a focus on practice means that career opportunities will open wide for you the moment you walk through the door as well.
DIT has more than 800 researchers tackling the challenges of 21st century life and the new research innovation hub at Grangegorman promotes research in a culturally driven international environment. DIT is a full participating member of the European University Association and the International Association of Universities in addition to the many links with international academic institutions and world-class companies.
Students at DIT can enjoy recreation and social activities of interest with more than 150 different clubs and societies available to join. More than 35 different annual events and competitions on and off the campus allow students to participate in including social nights, drama festivals, conferences, debating, trip and exhibitions. DIT offers a variety of sports activities for students as well, including football, basketball and gymnastics.
A wide range of accommodation is available for DIT students. Student residences at Grangegorman include six and three bed housing apartments, family units and private studios. Currently, the institute only provides assistance and information to students seeking accomodation partnering with various accommodation providers all across the city.
Currently all DIT campuses are located in the City Centre of Dublin, one of Europe’s liveliest capital cities. Dublin is a small vibrant city divided into the Northside and Southside by the River Liffey. Dublin Airport is 15 minutes away from the institute’s campus and is accessible by various modes of transport including taxi and bus. However, DIT is a signatory of the Smarter Travel Charter and encourages students to use sustainable means of transport to commute in and around campus such as cycling and walking.
My consultant was very helpful and motivating. She helped me every step of the way, even when the deadline was so close. I feel I could not have done it without her. I'd highly recommend this service to any and all of my many friends interested.
