Prior Park College
Overview
Prior
Park College is a Catholic Christian community as well as being a balanced,
open and ecumenical community. Beyond high academic expectations as the core
foundation, pupils are encouraged to achieve their best in a wide and varied
range of subjects.
There is a focus on five key areas of development:-- Spiritual, Intellectual,
Physical, Creative, Social. Together these nurture the fully rounded
individuals we strive to educate.
Pupils enjoy the Prior Park spirit in which everyone cares for one another.
Individuals grow as a result of being respected and all talents are celebrated.
Pupils are encouraged to think for themselves, form opinions and communicate
well. Academic rigour is combined with creativity and cultural opportunities.
A philosophy of sport for all, as well as elite teams, ensures every individual
benefits from organised, physical exercise.
Prior Park excels at encouraging pupils to look at the world from different
perspectives, challenging received wisdom and generating ideas. This is
witnessed in the outstanding quality of performing arts as well as teaching and
learning across the curriculum.
Prior Park seeks to nurture a culture of responsibility, an understanding of
all others and a sense of service.
