Overview
Rossall
School is a British co-educational boarding school with an international
outlook. The school is situated on a safe 160 acre campus on the North West
coast of England. It has an art studio, a modern music school, an observatory
and astronomy centre, a swimming pool, an all weather pitch, playing fields and
much more. The school has recently under gone extensive modernisation to
further enhance the high quality education it offers.
International students (from 11 to 16) spend between one month and one year in
the “International Study Centre” (ISC) developing their English language and
academic knowledge, as well as learning the necessary study and social skills
for a successful career in British education. Once a student is ready they can
transfer directly into the main British school at Rossall, or apply to another
school.
Students who can demonstrate proficient English language skills are able to go
directly into the main British school without entering the ISC. Students over
17 can only apply for the main British school, and must have strong English
language and academic skills.
The ISC offers an “English Language and Academic Course” and a “1 Year (I)GCSE
Course”. The British school offers a “2 Year (I)GCSE Course”, “A-Levels”, and
the IB diploma course

Entry Requirements
We assess each applicant individually. We look at school reports, and existing qualifications . We require the completion of assessment papers in English and Maths. Where practical we recommend a visit to the school. Students seeking direct entry to the Senior School must demonstrate a strong command of English, including an IELTS score of a minimum of 5 (B2 on CEF) for Sixth Form entry.
