In partnership with the British Council and the GREAT Britain Campaign, Glasgow Caledonian University is offering 3 scholarships to students from Indonesia, Kenya & Malaysia applying for one-year postgraduate courses.
The scholarship programme offers financial support of £10,000 to students pursuing one-year postgraduate study in the UK.

The GREAT Scholarships are jointly funded by Glasgow Caledonian University with the UK government’s GREAT Britain Campaign and the British Council.
The scholarship offered are as follows:
£10,000 towards tuition fees for one-year master’s programmes to students from Indonesia, Kenya & Malaysia who will enrol into Glasgow Caledonian University in September 2025.
Eligibility
The scholarship programme offers financial support of £10,000 to 3 students students pursuing one-year postgraduate study with Glasgow Caledonian University.
The Moffat Charitable Trust has been supporting the Moffat Centre for Travel and Tourism for over 20 years, providing over £1m of Scholarships for GCU students. Outstanding applicants wishing to attend GCU or are attending GCU to study Travel, Tourism or Events programmes can apply for a scholarship to support them in their studies.
The scholarships are awarded according to academic ability; motivation to undertake a career in the tourism industry, and economic need. The number of scholarships awarded will depend on the quality of applicants.
Deadline for applications is Monday 1st September 2025.
What is the scholarship
Awards of up to £3,700 which will be paid over two instalments over the academic year for Undergraduate students.
Awards of up to £2,600 which will be paid over three instalments over the academic year for Postgraduate students.
Terms and conditions
The award is non-transferable to any other programme if you change your course to the one specified at time of application.
A thank you letter is submitted, to be given to the donor Moffat Charitable Trust.
A report, based on your experience as a scholarship recipient and how this award has made a difference to you (this will be required nearing the end of every year of study).
Approval for any use of photographs and quotes to be used in printed media and on University websites.
Attendance at any scholarship related events, hosted by GCU or Moffat Centre.

Please note this scholarship is only available to self-funded students and applies to your first year of study only. You are deemed to be a self-funded student if you are paying your tuition fees yourself or with support from a relative or friend,or an educational loan.
Student who are sponsored by and employer or company are not eligible for this discount and it will be removed.
Distance Learning or Part time and Research courses are not eligible for this discount

What is the scholarship?
Full tuition fee scholarship for 1 Year Masters programme commencing September 2025.
You must have an unconditional offer to study for a master's degree at GCU (Glasgow or London campus) commencing September 2025 and be able to detail how you will cover your living costs in line with UKVI visa regulations.

Scholarships will be awarded on an overall assessment of the merit and promise of the candidate, including their financial circumstances this is a highly competitive scholarship for limited places and no late applications will be accepted.
Selection criteria will be based upon the following answers when you apply:
Applicant has a strong academic profile.
demonstrates how you have contributed to the common good.
Applicant has demonstrated financial need.
Applicant has clearly outlined how the programme fits with their future ambitions and goals.
You will be required to agree to the Ambassadors' Charter, which outlines requirements for successful applicants. These are:
Record three vlogs/blogs about your experience as a student of GCU.
At least one social media takeover (such as Instagram live).
Be in attendance and adopt an ambassadorial role at our open days/afternoons.
One hour per week as a Unibuddy helping answer prospective students' questions about life at GCU.
GCU are pleased to offer a loyalty scholarship for all fee paying students to the value of 30% discount from September 2025-2026 academic year onwards who are undertaking an other undergraduate degree or postgraduate taught programme with GCU
A discount of 30% discount from self funded tuition fees are available to students starting in 2025/2026 academic year who have received their undergraduate or postgraduate taught from GCU (or one of our founding institutions).
Discounts of 30% apply to the privately funded part of the course fee for every year of study for all students coming back to study another Undergraduate or Postgraduate Taught programme at GCU
The Loyalty discount is not available for any PhD or DBA courses or postgraduate research programmes.
Students who are continuing on their studies will continue to receive the 20% Loyalty discount if previously awarded.
