St Mary's Calne is a boarding and day school for around 345 girls aged 11-18. At A-level in 2013 30% of all grades were A*, with 100% A*-A grades in Further Maths and Drama. In History 56% of all grades were A* and in English 47% of all grades were A*. Of those girls who held offers for Oxbridge - 15% of St Mary's Calne girls - all secured their places, and the majority of the girls got into their first choice university and achieved or exceeded their personal aims.
Unique Points
Beyond the classroom, 80% of girls play musical instruments and take part in a wide variety of ensembles, including the renowned Chamber Choir, which will enjoy a Choir Tour to Paris this academic year. The Drama Department has a unique relationship with RADA, which includes offering a course in advanced communication skills in Year 13.
Entry Requirements
After Entrance Day, conditional places will be offered subject to
satisfactory performance at Common Entrance or in St Mary’s 13+
examinations. We welcome enquiries for girls seeking placement at St Mary’s at Sixth
Form entry level. Places are offered subject to satisfactory individual
assessment based on interviews at St Mary’s and reports from the Head of
their previous school, and sometimes written papers. Offer of a place
will be conditional on satisfactory GCSE results. Girls should achieve
As and Bs in the subjects they wish to take forward to A Level.

My counsellor contacted me every day throughout the application process and helped me receive an unconditional offer. I am so grateful to SI-UK and will never forget them. I will study very hard as I feel this is the best reward I can give the whole team.
