Wrexham University Overview

Wrexham University became the 10th university in Wales when it was formally awarded university status in 2008. Located in Wrexham, the largest town in north Wales, it remains an accredited institution of the University of Wales and offers undergraduate and postgraduate degrees as well as professional courses.

The 6,500 students who are currently enrolled at Wrexham University can take advantage of a large sports centre, radio studio, sound recording studio, engineering laboratories, art gallery, IT facilities, theatre studios, motor racing team, a dedicated crime scene lab and notably the unique asset of a Chinese medicine clinic. Wrexham University became the only university to own an international football stadium when it bought the Racecourse Ground of Wrexham FC, providing more space and facilities for students.

The main campus is in Wrexham, just ten minutes from the town centre, while a new campus recently opened in London, specialising in computing and management. The University has excellent road and rail links that connect Wrexham with Manchester and Liverpool.

Breckett Front   My counsellor contacted me every day throughout the application process and helped me receive an unconditional offer. I am so grateful to SI-UK and will never forget them. I will study very hard as I feel this is the best reward I can give the whole team.  Breckett Front
