TU Dublin, or Technological University Dublin, is a premier technological institute in Ireland with a long history of research and innovation. Located in the city centre of the capital city of Ireland, the institute offers courses in varying fields, from science and health to business and law, tourism, hospitality and social sciences. TU Dublin is the largest higher education institution in the State with almost 28,000 students and over 3,000 staff.
TU Dublin believes in smaller teaching groups and class sizes, meaning a more focused learning experience. Industry placements and a focus on practice mean that career opportunities will open wide for you the moment you walk through the door as well.
Technological University Dublin has more than 800 researchers tackling the challenges of 21st-century life, and the new research innovation hub at Grangegorman promotes research in a culturally driven international environment. TU Dublin is a full participating member of the European University Association and the International Association of Universities, in addition to the many links with international academic institutions and world-class companies.
The TU Dublin acceptance rate is 46%, and a key Technological University Dublin ranking includes being the 8th best university in Ireland. A variety of TU Dublin scholarships are available for eligible international students.
Students at TU Dublin can enjoy recreation and social activities of interest, with more than 150 different clubs and societies available to join. More than 35 different annual events and competitions on and off campus allow students to participate in social nights, drama festivals, conferences, debating, trips and exhibitions. TU Dublin offers a variety of sports activities for students as well, including football, basketball and gymnastics.
A wide range of TU Dublin accommodation is available for students. Student residences at Grangegorman include six and three-bed housing apartments, family units and private studios. Currently, the institute only provides assistance and information to students seeking accommodation partnering with various accommodation providers all across the city.
All TU Dublin campuses are located in the City Centre of Dublin, one of Europe’s liveliest capital cities. Dublin is a small vibrant city divided into the Northside and Southside by the River Liffey. Dublin Airport is 15 minutes away from the institute’s campus and is accessible by various modes of transport, including taxi and bus.
However, TU Dublin is a signatory of the Smarter Travel Charter and encourages students to use sustainable means of transport to commute in and around campus, such as cycling and walking.
