The Language Centre provides an extensive range of courses in English as a Foreign Language. There are intensive English language training courses for general, professional and academic purposes from nine months to four weeks in length. There are also teacher training courses in Teaching English as a Foreign Language.

For students who want to prepare for academic study at Bristol or other UK universities.
Intensive General English and Communication Skills
For students who want to improve their English for personal or professional reasons.
Subsidised Intensive General English and Communication Skills
A low budget option for students who want to improve their English for personal and professional reasons.
Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults (CELTA)
A four-week intensive course leading to initial qualified status in teaching English as a foreign language.
International Foundation Programme - Preliminary Certificate in Foundation Studies 2009
The International Foundation Programme is a nine month full-time programme for international students who want to prepare for undergraduate or postgraduate study at a British university.
