Shiplake
College is an independent school for day boys aged 11-18 and boarding boys from
13-18 with day and boarding girls joining the Sixth Form. Sitting high above
the River Thames, just over two miles upstream of Henley-on-Thames, the College
enjoys a beautiful 45 acre site based around the historic Shiplake Court.
At Shiplake teaching and learning concentrates on delivering excellent teaching
through small classes and individual attention with a supportive but
stimulating environment. In addition to a strong academic foundation we offer
excellent sporting, artistic and extra-curricular opportunities and outstanding
pastoral care.
We firmly believe that a holistic approach to education is best. To support our
pupils with their academic, sporting and extra-curricular endeavours we offer a
pastoral care system that is second to none. Knowing our pupils well enables us
to ensure that they get the best from their education here. Each new pupil
becomes a member of one of the boarding houses which fosters a strong sense of
community and provides a home from home.
Unique Points
Shiplake
College is situated on the banks of the River Thames just outside the historic
market town of Henley-on-Thames, home of Henley Royal Regatta. Shiplake College
was founded in 1959 at Shiplake Court, a stunning Victorian residence built in
the Tudor style in 1889. Shiplake is within easy reach of both Heathrow and
Gatwick airports and well-connected to the rail network.
At Shiplake we ensure that every pupil is challenged and supported according to
their need and ability. We provide an education that is tailored to the needs
of the individual. We do this through inspirational teaching, delivered in
small classes where our teachers can know and understand each pupil. To enable
pupils to fully benefit from the curriculum we underpin it with the finest
pastoral care and a full range of extra-curricular opportunities.

I believe my success is due to the great support provided by SI-UK. I was advised the right IELTS courses to attend and they also helped with my visa application. I really want to share with you my positive experience and I would definitely recommend SI-UK to my friends.
