Welcome
to Sidcot, an independent day and boarding school which encourages children to
make a difference in the world through teaching them to live their lives
adventurously, to question and to take action. We celebrate individuality and
challenge our students to think with greater depth to reach a better
understanding of themselves in relation to the world we live in.
As a school that accepts children with wide ranging strengths and abilities, we
are very proud that we achieve some of the strongest exam results in the South
West and particularly stand out in Maths, Science and the Arts. The
introduction of the IB to our Sixth Form curriculum in 2007 supports our core
educational aim of delivering engaging, progressive education, and an aim that
has driven our teaching since the foundation of Quaker education here in 1699.
Yes, our students get outstanding exam results but it’s not just their grades
that make Sidcot students attractive to Universities and employers. It is the
values we teach them as individuals and the personal skills they acquire from
the vast range of extracurricular activities we can offer them, whether it is
the hugely popular Duke of Edinburgh Award scheme or the extensive range of
sporting, arts or equestrian pursuits.
Unique Points
Sidcot
is a Quaker foundation. Quakerism is a way of life based on insights, attitudes
and practices established on Christian principles. It implies an openness to
the world, taking into account the whole of humanity, the environment and the
way we live. It expects the highest standards of commitment, truth and
consideration for others.
In 1999 Sidcod opened a new Learning Resource and Sixth Form Centre. We have a
first class Soprts Centre and swimming pool; a riding centre; 20 acres of
playing fields and a new Creative Arts Centre which incorporates a music
school, large art depatrment and drama studio.

I believe my success is due to the great support provided by SI-UK. I was advised the right IELTS courses to attend and they also helped with my visa application. I really want to share with you my positive experience and I would definitely recommend SI-UK to my friends.
