In recognition of the outstanding talent of our Indian students, we offer a range of highly prestigious scholarships designed to attract and reward the best students.

The 2025 Cardiff University £5,000 India Scholarships are open to all eligible India-domiciled students enrolling on a select number of postgraduate programmes commencing in both January and September 2025.

Eligibility criteria

Conditional offer holders

  • You must submit your application to the University by 7 January 2025.

  • You must accept your offer and pay your deposit by 7 January 2025 unless your deposit deadline is after this date, in which case, your deposit must be paid by your initial deposit deadline and your offer accepted within 14 days of it being made.

  • You must meet all the offer conditions, including any English Language conditions as stated in your offer by 7 January 2025.

  • Applicants who do not meet the conditions of their offer will not be eligible for the Vice-Chancellor’s International Scholarship, even if they are accepted into the University.

Unconditional Offer Holders

  • You must submit your application to the University by 7 January 2025.

  • You must accept your offer and pay your deposit by 7 January 2025 (unless your deposit deadline is after this date, in which case, your deposit must be paid by your initial deposit deadline and your offer accepted within 14 days of it being made.

  • You must meet the original admissions criteria for your programme. Applicants who do not meet the original admissions criteria will not be eligible for the Vice-Chancellor’s International Scholarship, even if they are accepted into the University.
