The Adam Smith Business School is honoured to announce the new ASBS China Scholarship for 2025/2026 entry. This exciting award aims to enable highly qualified students from China to pursue full-time Master's degree study at the University of Glasgow. This new scholarship is available to students entering the Adam Smith Business School for Academic Session 2025-2026. The scholarship is awarded as a tuition fee discount. 

To be eligible, applicants must:

• demonstrate academic excellence and achieve grades equivalent to UK 1st Class Honours.

• hold an offer for an eligible postgraduate taught programme for September 2025 intake.

• Hold an offer of a place for a one-year postgraduate taught masters at the University of Glasgow.

In response to the current unprecedented economic climate, the University is offering a 20% discount on all Postgraduate Research and full Postgraduate Taught Masters programmes to its alumni, commencing study in Academic session 2025/26. This includes University of Glasgow graduates and those who have completed a Study Abroad programme, International Summer School programme or the Erasmus Programme at the University of Glasgow. The discount applies to all full-time, part-time and online programmes. This discount can be awarded alongside most University scholarships.

To be eligible, students must:

• Have graduated from the University of Glasgow or completed a Junior Year Abroad, Exchange programme or International Summer School at the University of Glasgow AND

• Be enrolled on a full Postgraduate Taught Masters programme at the University of Glasgow full time or part-time (Professional development programmes such as CPD, PGDE, PGD, PGC and Diploma in Professional Legal Practice are not eligible) OR

• Be enrolled on a Postgraduate Research Course at the University of Glasgow full time or part-time

The Glasgow MBA Scholarship for Women in association with the 30% club aims to promote women in leadership by encouraging women to enrol in the MBA programme.

There have been significant changes to educational and professional opportunities for women; the Glasgow MBA has consistently welcomed a high proportion of women in its cohort, and we would like to strengthen further women active participation in the programme.

The University of Glasgow is offering up to 30 Sanctuary Scholarships for applicants to the University, who have been forced to travel to the UK for humanitarian reasons and are facing challenges in progressing onto Higher Education. The scholarship is open to prospective undergraduate and postgraduate taught students at the University of Glasgow applying for entry in September 2025/26. Please note that you must have applied to the University before submitting an application for this scholarship.

The scholarship will meet the cost of tuition fees for the duration of your programme, for applicants who are unable to access mainstream funding through Student Awards Agency Scotland (SAAS) or Student Finance. The Sanctuary Scholarship also provides a £5,000 per year stipend, to assist with study costs. In addition, if the eligibility criteria for university accommodation is met, this will also be provided for the duration of your degree, if required. Undergraduate students with refugee status (or equivalent) and access to funding, are eligible to apply for the scholarship and would receive the £5,000 stipend towards study costs only, if successful.

Postgraduate Taught Masters students with refugee status (or equivalent) and access to funding, are eligible to apply for the scholarship and would receive the £5,000 stipend towards study costs and a partial tuition fee waiver, to cover any shortfall not met by your Postgraduate Masters tuition fee loan.

To be eligible applicants must:

• Hold a firm conditional or unconditional offer for full time study at the University of Glasgow for 2025/26

• Have submitted a claim for asylum in the UK Or are actively appealing a negative decision on claim for asylum in the UK Or have been granted Refugee Status, Humanitarian Protection (HP) or Discretionary Leave (DL) by the Home Office, as a result of an asylum claim.

Have come to the UK through schemes such as:

• UK Resettlement Scheme (UKRS).

• Afghan citizens Resettlement Scheme.

• Afghan Relocations and Assistance Policy (ARAP).

• Syrian Vulnerable Persons Resettlement Scheme (VPRS).

• Ukraine Sponsorship Scheme (Homes for Ukraine).

Value

The Sanctuary Scholarship provides:

• Full tuition fee waiver for the duration of study, where you are not eligible to apply for mainstream student finance to cover full tuition fees.

• £5,000 per year towards for study costs.

• University of Glasgow accommodation for the duration of study, if eligible. (For those with no access to public funds only).

Should your immigration status change part way through your studies, you should inform the Scholarships Team as soon as possible, as this may affect your eligibility for the scholarship. Changes to immigration status will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. The scholarship funding will not necessarily cease automatically but may be recalculated.

The application deadline is 11:00 pm on 1st May 2025.

The University of Glasgow has a number of World Changers Global Excellence Scholarships available to new International and EU students for 2025 entry. The scholarship is awarded as a tuition fee discount of £7,000 per year of study and is subject to satisfactory progress for consecutive years of study.  

To be eligible, applicants must

• have International or EU (non-UK) fee status.

• hold an offer of a place for an undergraduate programme for 2025.

• demonstrate excellent academic achievement before starting University:

• Qualifications already achieved:  students holding the following A Level/IB (or local equivalent) grades are guaranteed a scholarship offer;

• Qualification not yet achieved:  students predicted, or who achieve, the following A Level/IB (or local equivalent) grades are guaranteed a scholarship offer.  For offers made on the basis of predicted grades, the scholarship may be withdrawn if final exam results do not meet the grades outlined below.

Value: This is awarded as a tuition fee discount of £7,000 per year of study.
