Before beginning your application it is important to familiarise yourself with key UCAS deadlines. Some universities (Cambridge and Oxford) and courses (medicine, veterinary medicine and dentistry) have much earlier deadlines and it is important you are fully aware of those which impact on your application.
All UCAS deadlines for courses in the UK can be found below, but these are three key dates to become familiar with in the UCAS application cycle.

A-Level results day.
Final deadline for 2018 entry applications.
Completed UCAS applications can be submitted to UCAS.
Deadline for the universities of Oxford and Cambridge, and for most courses in medicine, veterinary medicine and dentistry.
Deadline for the majority of undergraduate courses.
UCAS Extra opens.
Applications received after June 30 are entered into UCAS Clearing.
Last date to apply in UCAS Extra for 2018 entry.
A-Level results day.
Final deadline for 2019 entry applications.
