Scholarships at Birmingham Business School

£5,000 scholarships for international students studying with us in September 2025.

In 2025, as we celebrate 125 years of University status by Royal Charter, we are proud to mark this milestone by investing in the future of global education. One of the ways we are doing this is through our prestigious 125th Anniversary Scholarships, offering £5,000 to international students who choose to pursue their Masters degree with us at the University of Birmingham in September 2025.

Eligibility criteria

Are there any exclusions or programmes not eligible?

Awards of up to £10,000 available to individuals who demonstrate academic excellence and passion to advance responsible business and drive positive change.  

Value: Up to £10,000. 

How many of these scholarships are available? Ten.

Eligibility: Offer-holders domiciled in India who have received an offer to study a taught Masters degree with Birmingham Business School in September 2025. 

Deadline to apply: 31 May 2025.

Awards of up to £10,000 available to Chinese offer-holders studying economics, finance or accounting MSc programmes to advance their understanding of responsible business and drive positive change. 

Value: Up to £10,000.

How many of these scholarships are available? Ten.

Eligibility: Offer-holders domiciled in China who have received an offer to study one of the following MSc programmes with Birmingham Business School in September 2025:

• MSc Accounting and Finance

• MSc Economics

• MSc Financial Economics

• MSc Financial Management

• MSc Financial Technology

• MSc Investments

• MSc Money, Banking and Finance

Deadline to apply: 9 May 2025.

Awards of up to £10,000 available to offer-holders who demonstrate academic excellence and eagerness to advance their understanding of responsible business and drive positive change. 

Value: Up to £10,000. 

How many of these scholarships are available? Ten.

Eligibility: Offer-holders domiciled outside of China and India who have received an offer to study a taught Masters degree with Birmingham Business School in September 2025. Students from China and India should apply for the Chancellors Awards.  

Deadline to apply: 31 May 2025, however, these scholarships are awarded on a rolling basis and applying early is recommended.  

Awards of up to £25,000 available to offer-holders who demonstrate academic excellence and eagerness to advance their understanding of responsible business and drive positive change. 

Value: Up to £25,000

Tailored for individuals who showcase exceptional potential in driving positive change and innovation, this prestigious scholarship covers up to £15,000 in the form of a tuition-fee discount for Birmingham MBA full-time students joining the September 2025 cohort. There are only a small number of Purposeful Leader MBA Scholarships available. These are awarded on an ongoing basis so applying early is recommended. 

Responsible Business MBA Scholarship

Awarded to talented individuals who are committed to continuously building their skills and knowledge for a better world, this scholarship supports curious thinkers from different backgrounds, cultures and nationalities. There are multiple Responsible Business MBA Scholarships available for full-time students. These scholarships are in the form of tuition fee discounts worth up to £10,000. These are awarded on an ongoing basis so applying early is recommended.
