University of Central Lancashire Services for International Students

The University has excellent international student support teams who can help with cost of living, health and wellbeing, disability or dyslexia support, visa and immigration queries. Academically you will benefit from a personal tutor and student coaches.

You’ll have access to the Oasis Faith and Spirituality Centre which welcomes people of all faiths with spaces for prayer, worship and reflection and support from a multi-faith chaplaincy team. International students can use the on-campus health facilities such as the Medical Centre, Pharmacy, Eye Clinic, Counselling, Mental Health and Wellbeing Services.

University of Central Lancashire Accommodation

Their all-inclusive contracts mean heating, water and internet access are all included in your rent. You’ll have your own bedroom, and several rooms are adapted for students with medical conditions and additional needs.

University of Central Lancashire Location

The University of Central Lancashire has three campus sites in the North West of England. Their main campus is in Preston, Lancashire and other sites are in Burnley in East Lancashire and Westlakes in Cumbria.

Preston holds Purple Flag status awarded for its low crime rates, vibrant nightlife and excellent range of visitor attractions and benefits from fantastic transport links. You will find plenty of shops, international supermarkets, restaurants, bars, cafés and entertainment venues. There are also many outdoor spaces to relax including parks, cycle routes and Preston Marina. The main Preston campus is only a 10-minute walk from Preston Railway Station, which is part of the West Coast Mainline route, so you can catch a train and explore the rest of the UK during weekends or holidays. Trains to London, Edinburgh and Glasgow take less than two and a half hours or you can travel to Liverpool, Manchester, the seaside, lakes, and mountains in less than an hour.

Manchester Airport is less than an hour away from Preston by a direct train. An Uber taxi from the airport is also an affordable option, taking only an hour. The University may also offer an airport transfer service when you arrive. The Burnley Campus is constantly expanding, transforming this beautiful corner of Pennine Lancashire into a thriving university town. The Westlakes Campus is located near Whitehaven in Cumbria, on the edge of the picturesque Lake District National Park.
