With this scholarship we wish to recognise outstanding students who will add to the diversity and vibrancy of the School, and who have shown determination in their career to date.

This scholarship is awarded in the form of a full tuition fee waiver and stipend, and is open to full-time, self-funding students.

To be eligible applicants must:

• be a national from an eligible country.

• hold a conditional or unconditional offer of a place for an eligible postgraduate taught programme for September 2025 entry.

• demonstrate academic excellence and achieve grades equivalent to a degree equivalent to a UK 1st Class Hons.

The Adam Smith Business School is honoured to announce the ASBS India Scholarship for 2025/2026 entry. This exciting award aims to enable highly qualified students from India to pursue full-time Master's degree study at the University of Glasgow. This scholarship is available to students entering the Adam Smith Business School for Academic Session 2025-2026. The scholarship is awarded as a tuition fee discount. 

To be eligible, applicants must:

• demonstrate academic excellence and achieve grades equivalent to UK 1st Class Honours.

• hold an offer for an eligible postgraduate taught programme for September 2025 intake.

his scholarship is awarded annually to a student who has already accepted a place to study Scottish History within the School of Humanities at the University of Glasgow at postgraduate level in academic session 2025-26, and who is not otherwise in receipt of funding. 

The terms and conditions are as follows:

• One scholarship shall be awarded:

  • to a student who has already accepted the offer to undertake study for the taught postgraduate degree of MSc in Scottish History,

  • AND to a student who has already accepted the offer to undertake study for the research degree of PhD or MPhil or MRes in Scottish History, within the School of Humanities at the University of Glasgow.

• Students already in receipt of an award which covers the full cost of the fees for the degree concerned will not be eligible to apply.

• The scholarship will be used in the first instance towards fees. If the student uses personal finances to cover the cost of fees, then the scholarship can be used as a stipend.

• The scholarship may be awarded to a Home, EU or International student.

• The scholarship shall be made primarily on the basis of academic merit and motivation. Weight may also being given to the level of financial need where this is possible to evidence.

• The award of the scholarship shall be made by the Chair in Scottish History and/or the Chair’s nominees.

Value

The scholarship shall consist of a sum of approximately £1,800, to be paid in a single instalment at the commencement of the academic year for which the award is made.

The deadline for submission for the award to be made for academic session 2025-26 is 21 July 2025.

This scholarship is for students transferring to the University of Glasgow from the British University in Dubai as part of our articulation agreement.

To qualify, applicants must:

• be British University in Dubai (BUiD) students.

• be classed as International students for fee purposes.

• be transferring into 3rd year of BSc Computing Science or Software Engineering at the University of Glasgow, having completed two years of either the BSc in Computer Science: Artificial Intelligence or BSc in Computer Science: Software Engineering at BUiD.

• have been resident in UAE whilst attending BUiD.

Commonwealth Scholarships enable talented and motivated individuals to gain the knowledge and skills required for sustainable development, and are offered to citizens from low and middle income Commonwealth countries. The majority of Scholarships are funded by the UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO), with the aim of contributing to the UK’s international development aims and wider overseas interests, supporting excellence in UK higher education, and sustaining the principles of the Commonwealth.

Value

The scholarship usually covers tuition fee, travel expenses and a stipend.

The Commonwealth Shared Scholarship programme is one of three Master’s programmes offered by the Commonwealth Scholarship Commission. They support students from developing commonwealth countries to study full-time in the United Kingdom on a postgraduate course.

To apply for these scholarships, applicants must:

• Be a citizen of or have been granted refugee status by an eligible Commonwealth country.

• Be permanently resident in an eligible Commonwealth country.

• Be available to start academic studies in the UK by the start of the UK academic year in September 2025.

• By September 2025, hold a first degree of at least upper second-class (2:1) honours standard, or a lower second-class degree and a relevant postgraduate qualification (usually a Master’s degree).

• Not have studied or worked for more than one (academic) year or more in a high-income country.

• Be unable to afford to study in the UK without this scholarship.

• Have provided all supporting documentation in the required format.

The scholarship will cover the full tuition and a monthly stipend including air fares to and from the UK, grant a grant up cover thesis costs and study travel.

The University of Glasgow has several Global Leadership Scholarships available to International fee students starting a postgraduate taught Masters programme in any discipline for Academic Session 2025/2026. The scholarship is awarded as a tuition fees discount.

The Glasgow MBA Scholarship for Women in association with the 30% club aims to promote women in leadership by encouraging women to enrol in the MBA programme.

The University of Glasgow is offering up to 30 Sanctuary Scholarships for applicants to the University, who have been forced to travel to the UK for humanitarian reasons and are facing challenges in progressing onto Higher Education. The scholarship is open to prospective undergraduate and postgraduate taught students at the University of Glasgow applying for entry in September 2025/26. Please note that you must have applied to the University before submitting an application for this scholarship.

The scholarship will meet the cost of tuition fees for the duration of your programme, for applicants who are unable to access mainstream funding through Student Awards Agency Scotland (SAAS) or Student Finance. The Sanctuary Scholarship also provides a £5,000 per year stipend, to assist with study costs. In addition, if the eligibility criteria for university accommodation is met, this will also be provided for the duration of your degree, if required. 

Undergraduate students with refugee status (or equivalent) and access to funding, are eligible to apply for the scholarship and would receive the £5,000 stipend towards study costs only, if successful.

Postgraduate Taught Masters students with refugee status (or equivalent) and access to funding, are eligible to apply for the scholarship and would receive the £5,000 stipend towards study costs and a partial tuition fee waiver, to cover any shortfall not met by your Postgraduate Masters tuition fee loan.

To be eligible applicants must:

• Hold a firm conditional or unconditional offer for full time study at the University of Glasgow for 2025/26.

• Have submitted a claim for asylum in the UK OR are actively appealing a negative decision on claim for asylum in the UK OR have been granted Refugee Status, Humanitarian Protection (HP) or Discretionary Leave (DL) by the Home Office, as a result of an asylum claim.

Have come to the UK through schemes such as:

• UK Resettlement Scheme (UKRS).

• Afghan citizens Resettlement Scheme.

• Afghan Relocations and Assistance Policy (ARAP).

The Sanctuary Scholarship provides:

• Full tuition fee waiver for the duration of study, where you are not eligible to apply for mainstream student finance to cover full tuition fees.

• £5,000 per year towards for study costs.

• University of Glasgow accommodation for the duration of study, if eligible. (For those with no access to public funds only).

Should your immigration status change part way through your studies, you should inform the Scholarships Team as soon as possible, as this may affect your eligibility for the scholarship. Changes to immigration status will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. The scholarship funding will not necessarily cease automatically but may be recalculated.

The University of Glasgow is proud to announce the World Changers Glasgow Scholarship for September 2025 entry to acknowledge incredible applicants from India, Singapore, Nigeria, Thailand, Bangladesh, Malaysia, Vietnam, Israel, Jordan, Palestinian Territories, Syria, Yemen, Mexico, Brazil, Lebanon and Colombia. The scholarship is awarded as a £5,000 tuition fee discount and will automatically awarded to all eligible applicants. 

To be eligible, applicants must meet our direct entry criteria:

• be enrolled on an eligible postgraduate programme for September 2025 intake 

• be a national of one of the eligible countries.

The University of Glasgow has a number of World Changers Global Excellence Scholarships available to new International and EU students for 2025 entry. The scholarship is awarded as a tuition fee discount of £7,000 per year of study and is subject to satisfactory progress for consecutive years of study. 

To be eligible, applicants must

• have International or EU (non-UK) fee status

• hold an offer of a place for an undergraduate programme for 2025

• demonstrate excellent academic achievement before starting University:

• Qualifications already achieved:  students holding the following A Level/IB (or local equivalent) grades are guaranteed a scholarship offer;

• Qualification not yet achieved:  students predicted, or who achieve, the following A Level/IB (or local equivalent) grades are guaranteed a scholarship offer.  For offers made on the basis of predicted grades, the scholarship may be withdrawn if final exam results do not meet the grades outlined below.
