Studying at UWL is all about gaining the skills, expertise and insight you need to excel in your chosen career. Facilities

Over a three-year period, the University has embarked on a £150 million redevelopment project to enhance students’ social and learning experiences, thereby maintaining its position as a leading modern university in London. The University has worked closely with the Students’ Union and student representatives throughout the process to ensure the student experience is at the heart of the project.

Pre-sessional English language courses

If you have not met the English Language requirements to study an undergraduate or a postgraduate degree course with UWL, you may be eligible for a pre-sessional English language course. Students who receive an offer letter from the university will also be sent details on how to book a place on the course.   

Pre-masters courses

Also known as Extended Master's, these courses are designed for students who do not meet the initial entry requirements for a master's degree at UWL. Through a programme of specially designed modules, the course aims to:

  • Enable students who have already achieved the threshold standards at Level 6 to extend, develop and enhance their knowledge and skills to the standards required for Level 7 study
  • Develop students’ familiarity with UK academic practices and protocols
  • Increase students’ intellectual confidence to feel prepared for Level 7 study in the UK

After studying a 12-week programme, students will transition seamlessly to a regular master's.

Accommodation

UWL knows that accommodation is key to your university experience and that you want to love where you live. The University will help you find suitable and safe accommodation.

The University offer a range of options, from university-managed shared flats and houses at the Student Village, which is a short walk from South Ealing Station, or they can help you find accommodation off-campus in Ealing and the surrounding area; or if you choose to rent your accommodation privately, UWL has put together resources for you to make sure where you are renting is safe.

Suppose you are studying at the Berkshire Institute for Health in Reading. In that case, the University have strong links with local student accommodation providers, so you can feel safe knowing that your home has our stamp of approval.

Location

The West London Campus Ealing site has superb facilities, including the Paul Hamlyn Library, a student radio station, an auditorium, music studios, industry-standard labs, a mock courtroom, restaurants and cafés, and a sports centre.
