The Global Scholarship is an automatic tuition fee waiver of £1,500 deducted from your first year’s tuition fee (or the full course fees for PGT) at the point of offer – there is no need to apply for this award. New students paying International tuition fees will be eligible to receive the award provided you are self-funded, full-time and studying for a minimum of 2 semesters on one of the following programmes:
Undergraduate degree (including courses with an integrated foundation year).
Postgraduate taught degree.
PhD.
Masters by Research.
Master of Research (MRes).
Professional Doctorate programmes (eg. DBA, EdD) are not eligible for the Global Scholarship.
Undergraduate and postgraduate taught students must be studying on campus to be eligible, postgraduate research students can be distance learning or on campus.
This merit scholarship is a tuition fee waiver designed to reward academic excellence or, a strong creative portfolio, or relevant work experience (where required). The value of the scholarship will be £5,000.

The scholarship is only available for the named programme in the offer letter and beginning in September 2024 or January 2025.
Scholarships are non-transferable.
Students must be studying on campus on a full-time postgraduate taught degree, for a minimum of 2 semesters.
Applicants must be international fee payers and must be self-funding (see note 1) for at least 100% of tuition fee.
The Postgraduate Merit Scholarship is valid for first year of tuition fees.
Excellent work experience and/or portfolio will be considered in addition to grades.
Eligible applicants must have applied and meet set entry criteria. An interview may be required.
Applicants must accept scholarship and pay the full advised advanced payment within 28 days otherwise it will be withdrawn and offered to another candidate.
Applicants must not be in receipt of any other scholarship from the University of Gloucestershire and should not have previously been awarded an Undergraduate Merit Scholarship from the University.
Scholarships will not be awarded to deferred applications.
On commencing studies at the University, scholarship holders will be contacted by the University’s Communications, Marketing and Student Recruitment Team (CMSR), and be required to periodically participate in marketing activity that includes (but is not limited to) video and photography content creation, blog commentary, supporting recruitment events.
If a student wishes to transfer to an undergraduate programme at University of Gloucestershire from an overseas progression partner, the University will offer a Progression Partner Scholarship worth £5,000. This is automatically deducted off the tuition fees.
The £5,000 scholarship is split across the number of years of study at the university, as outlined in the table below.
