1. Contact Admissions Officers
Always speak to the accommodation office at your chosen university first. An experienced Accommodation Officer will be able to point you in the right (and most reliable) direction of what is available, within your budget and means.
2. Consider what is most important to you
Is the accommodation in the right area? Do you mind sharing a bathroom? How many people do you want in the kitchen with you? These are all big decisions, and once you have decided your preferences, your search will be much easier.
3. Always read your contract before signing
Is there a get-out clause? What’s the cancellation policy? Can you cover all rental payments? Is the length of stay suitable for you? Don’t be tripped up further down the road by not paying close attention to the fine print included in student accommodation contracts.
4. Find out what’s included in your rent
