- Search the course you want to study

Take the time to research different courses properly - modules can often vary from one university with a similar degree to the next - and narrow down the exact type of course you want to focus on.
- Select the right university
Once you have chosen the degree you wish to study, it is time to start considering where to study. Universities in London are always popular with international students, but studying in Wales, Scotland, or Ireland should also be considered due to their fantastic universities and beautiful surrounding areas. Many cities across the north of England also offer a world-class learning experience with a much cheaper cost of living.
When considering where to study, it is also important to consider the 2024 UK University Rankings, universities awarded Gold in the Teaching Excellence Framework and Russell Group institutions.
- Create your UCAS application
International students can select up to five universities on their UCAS application and must supply various supporting documents to verify their application. Check out the latest UCAS application deadlines so you don't miss out on vital calendar dates throughout the year.
- Write your personal statement
A personal statement is a key part of your UK university application and is one of the ways university admissions officers judge you as a candidate. It is generally 400-600 words in length and covers your previous achievements and what you wish to gain from studying your chosen course.

- Meet English language requirements
Is your English level currently good enough to study in the UK? Almost all UK institutions require a minimum IELTS score of 5.5 before considering your application, and this rises to 7.5 for courses such as medicine or dentistry.
