"I remember being very confused every time I thought about university. Was studying abroad possible? What was the advantage of further study? What did I need to do? If I hadn't seen SI-UK poster about a University Fair in London, I would not have had a clear idea about my future.
"I have been to the Fair twice since then. The first time, despite the fact that I was sceptical, I thought it was worth going because it was free. Once there, though, I realised it was worth much more than that. The Fair was very well organised, and I had great support from the SI-UK team. I particularly enjoyed the seminars in which I was given essential information regarding the application process for UK universities. Words like ‘UCAS’, ‘Personal Statement’ and ‘IELTS Certificate’ started making sense to me.
"However, even though I knew the practical procedures, I still didn't have any idea of which course I was going to apply for. It took me six months to figure it out, and I eventually made my final decision during a second visit to an SI-UK Fair. While meeting tens of universities, my attention was drawn to a course in Modern Languages with Management. I was helped to explore the course and the large opportunities that it would offer and as I was leaving the Lancaster Hotel when I thought to myself "I have just planned the next four years of my life".
"Going to that Fair had been a decisive factor in making my final choice. Three months later, I received an offer from King's College London, one of the top 20 universities in the world. I couldn't believe it, but I'd made it!"
My consultant was very helpful and motivating. She helped me every step of the way, even when the deadline was so close. I feel I could not have done it without her. I'd highly recommend this service to any and all of my many friends interested.
