St Andrews School
Overview
St
Andrew’s was founded in 1877 and is situated in a beautiful part of East Sussex
on the South East Coast. At the heart of our education, we emphasise values
that will last for life: kindness and compassion; honesty and integrity;
creativity and resourcefulness; courage and a strong sense of purpose.
For many pupils and staff school is home for much of the year and this creates
a powerful feeling of community. Above all it is the potential and character of
each individual that we seek to nurture. The confidence, happiness and
fulfilment of every child is our absolute priority.
A St Andrew’s education is of lifelong value. Our records show that a child who
stays with us until the age of thirteen, and works diligently, can expect to
move on to one of the country’s most highly regarded schools such as Eastbourne
College, Brighton College, Lancing, Tonbridge, Sevenoaks, Eton, Harrow,
Winchester or Cheltenham Ladies’ College. We feed a broad range of senior schools
and the Headmaster will work closely with the parents and agent to help make
the right choice for each child.
Unique Points
St Andrew’s is a relaxed and friendly preparatory school in Eastbourne, located in a beautiful spot between the South Downs and the sea in South East of England. Recently Eastbourne was voted “top spot” in the UK and third best destination worldwide by overseas students. St Andrew’s offers short stay (minimum of half a term) and long term boarding for preparation to a range of prestigious senior independent schools in the UK. We regard our location, breadth of curriculum and pastoral care as our particular strengths. Pupils experience life in an English boarding school in a caring, family environment.
