On 1 August 2024, City, University of London merged with St George’s, University of London to form City St George’s, University of London - now one of the largest higher education destinations for students in London. While the new institution operates under a unified identity, references to the legacy names may still appear, and the St George’s profile will remain in use for the duration of the 2025/26 recruitment cycle.
For the 2025/26 academic year, City St George’s is operating under a dual running model, maintaining separate application policies and procedures. Programmes and study locations for 2025 entry are expected to remain unchanged.

City St George’s provides extensive support for international students through its dedicated International Student Advice Team, based within the Student Support Hub. International students are welcomed with tailored induction activities at the beginning of each term, alongside orientation events run by individual Schools and Departments. A wide range of international student societies, hosted by the Students’ Union, also provide opportunities for cultural exchange and social engagement throughout the year.
City St George’s is ranked among the world’s top 400 universities, with seven academic subjects featured in the global top 200. Communications and Media is the highest-ranked subject area. The University is also recognised for its collaborative work with the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, and for excellence in subjects such as nursing, midwifery, social work, and social policy.
City St George’s is engaged in impactful, internationally recognised research. According to the 2021 Research Excellence Framework (REF), 86% of the University’s research (legacy City) was rated world-leading (4*) or internationally excellent (3%)*. Furthermore, 100% of the University’s impact case studies (legacy St George’s) were rated world-leading or internationally excellent**.

City St George’s offers a wide variety of accommodation options, many within walking distance of one of its campuses. First-year undergraduate international students are eligible for a guaranteed place in university accommodation under the University’s Guarantee Scheme, provided they accept their offer firmly.
Students preferring private accommodation will find a large selection of rooms, flats, and houses close to campus locations. Many students choose to find housemates through flatmate-matching services and rent shared housing in the surrounding neighbourhoods.
As a member of the University of London, City St George’s students also benefit from access to the University of London Housing Services, which provides expert advice on renting in the capital, from tenancy rights to landlord disputes.
City St George’s operates across three London campuses, each offering exceptional access to career opportunities and cultural experiences, as well as excellent transport links to major UK and international destinations:
Clerkenwell Campus: Located between the vibrant districts of Islington, Shoreditch, and Clerkenwell, this campus is surrounded by independent boutiques, creative industries, and a thriving nightlife scene.
Moorgate Campus (Bayes Business School): Situated in close proximity to London’s financial district, this location enables strong industry connections with major corporations, start-ups, and employers who contribute to course design and frequently recruit graduates.
Tooting Campus: The former St George’s site is based in south-west London’s diverse and lively Tooting neighbourhood. Known for its multicultural atmosphere, bustling markets, and global cuisine, Tooting offers a welcoming environment with excellent links to central London, Greater London, and Surrey.
