University of Sheffield ranked as the UK's best university for student satisfaction

The University of Sheffield has been ranked as the UK's best university for student satisfaction following the 2024 National Student Survey results.

Sheffield has achieved the top spot in the annual survey for the second consecutive year, where students are asked to provide feedback on their university experience. Sheffield’s Students’ Union has also been rated the best among UK universities, maintaining its position from last year’s NSS results, while subjects including computing, engineering, history and journalism also received top ratings.

Professor Mary Vincent, Vice-President for Education at the University of Sheffield, said: “We are so pleased that our students have rated their experience at Sheffield so highly again this year. The NSS is one of the many ways that we seek feedback from our students and listen to their views on their life at the University.

"Whilst we are delighted with these results, we are determined to provide the very best education and will keep working hard, together with our Students’ Union, to ensure studying at Sheffield remains a rewarding experience.”
