UCAS received more than 61,000 applications for Oxbridge and medical schools by its October deadline, the highest ever recorded.
International students from outside the EU saw the biggest surge as their numbers rose by 12%, well above the increases of 1% seen in recent years. Applications from EU students rose by 6%.
Cambridge, Oxford and medical schools require an early deadline because places are limited and entry standards are higher, meaning entrance exams and admissions interviews need to be completed during the application phase.
If you are interested in studying at an Oxbridge university or medical school, it is never too early to start thinking about your application. Arrange a free consultation today to get started.
My consultant was very helpful and motivating. She helped me every step of the way, even when the deadline was so close. I feel I could not have done it without her. I'd highly recommend this service to any and all of my many friends interested.
