Lancaster University has been ranked in the top ten of the Complete University Guide university rankings for the second year in a row, as well as finishing as the North West’s best university.
Finishing ninth in the nationwide rankings, Lancaster also made the top ten for 18 of the 34 subjects it offers. Professor Mark E. Smith, Vice-Chancellor of Lancaster University said: “I am delighted that the reputation of our university is reflected in high rankings year-on-year in the UK's major university league tables. Holding 9th place demonstrates how Lancaster continues to successfully compete with some of the very best universities across the world.”
The Complete University Guide is based on ten measures: student satisfaction, research quality, research intensity, entry standards, student: staff ratio; spending on academic services; spending on student facilities; good honours degrees achieved; graduate prospects and completion.
