UK universities see increase in number of international applicants for 2023 entry

UCAS statistics have revealed that the total number of international applicants to UK universities in 2023 has increased by 2.4% from last year.
The total number of international students who submitted their application before the June 30 deadline was 138,050 in 2023, a 2.4% rise from 134,870 last year. It is the first time international undergraduate applications made via UCAS have almost returned to pre-Covid figures of 138,770.
The top international countries for UK university applications after China (30,000+) were India (12,920), US (6,900), Hong Kong (6,060), Nigeria (5,020), Malaysia (4,470) and UAE (3,980).
